"In Their Boots" episode this Wednesday, September 10th

Tune into Brave New Foundation’s live internet based show...

intheirboots.com logo

When: Every Wednesday at 4 PM PST, 7 PM EST

Where: www.intheirboots.com

This week, we will show the first part of “We Regret to Inform You”. Taryn Davis, 22, lost her husband, Army Cpl. Michael W. Davis, after an IED exploded by his vehicle in Iraq. In her search for peer support, Taryn founded the American Widow Project four months after Michael's death. Using the power of the internet and MySpace, Taryn has reached out to over 100 young military widows, offering peer support and resources for those who are still reliving the words delivered by two service members at their doors: “The Secretary of Defense regrets to inform you...". Take a moment to watch the trailer.

After the “real story”, there will be a moderated discussion with Taryn Davis. Jim Sheeler, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of, "Final Salute: A Story of Unfinished Lives", will join the conversation as well. The discussion also features a groundbreaking component where we allow our viewers to join the webcast using their web cameras from their homes or offices. Just send a video skype or video ichat to itbmac5 and you can ask your question live. If you have a question during the webcast, you can email it to question@intheirboots.com. Our host, Jan Bender, will incorporate your question into the webcast. Audience participation is critical to this show. We want to hear your thoughts and questions. Please join us live!
