It’s signature service, “The Lifeline,” is a call center through which trained fellow veterans answer all calls live and provide emotional support, information & referral, as well as crisis and case management services to veterans and families facing wide ranging needs---from suicide intervention, to VA Benefits help, PTSD counseling, employment assistance, housing, transportation, legal aid, and a host of other services. Last year, the NVF expanded its one-of-a-kind “Lifeline” service to 12 hours/day, 7 days a week, and has already experienced a 400% increase in call volume.
