Coming home with questions about how to take the next step? Wondering what the next chapter of your life looks like? Get the tools, support, and strategies you need for charting your new course or improving the one you’re on. Join fellow veterans in a comfortable, non-judgmental, interactive setting; participate in a supportive network that fosters your career and educational growth; benefit from the input of top-notch experts who help you map out your future, tap into the skills you already have, and learn practices to maintain a balanced mind, body, and spirit as you pave your way through school and work.
Veterans Toolkit Workshop provides:
- Mentors from American Corporate Partners, who will share lessons learned in career development and employment strategies.
- Social networking technology instruction, with practical skills in using virtual tools to make the most of your job search, stay connected with fellow veterans, and keep up to date with new information.
- Networking opportunities, where you can meet and connect with representatives from a range of educational, job training and employment resources. This includes a job fair with representatives from organizations like Chase, URS, and UCSF.
- Instruction in proven wellness practices such as meditation and qigong that help you manage the stresses that come with walking your education and career path.
Registration begins at 9am, with light refreshments available. The workshop will end at 5pm, following a resource fair.
Participants are expected to attend the entire workshop. The workshop is completely free. Lunch will be provided. Transportation is not included.
